Je ne suis pas de ceux qui ont été impressionner par le match contre Shawinigan. Oui nous avons dominer certains volets de la "game" et oui nous nous sommes faite voler par les officiels, mais nous avons manquer d'opportunisme a plusieurs reprises sans compté du fait que nos gardiens ont encore une autre fois été très médiocre.
Je suis sorti de l'aréna en me disant que nous avons eu besoin de tout notre petit change pour battre une formation horrible avec un gardien recrue...au lieu d'avoir un sens de satisfaction envers mon équipe....très loin d'un sens de confiance "that's for sure"!!
Belding coupé/ Knight Rouleau sur le power play
Voici ce que j'appel des "Groulx-rie". Petit résumé de la feuille de route des deux joueurs depuis Aout. Knight-Rouleau impressionnait a peu prêt tout le monde au camp d'entrainement avec ses habileté et ses chances de marquer, tandis que Belding lui semblait remplir le role de policier (une job a temps partiel quand ton sergent s'appel Benoit Groulx).
Lorsque le dernier couperet tomba, Knight-Rouleau c'est fait pointer le chemin du JAAA et Belding méritait un poste avec la grande équipe (Les Piques de 5'9...grande équipe oui oui). Comment ce fait-il en premier lieu que la décision finale soit entre un "goon inconnu" et un joueur de talent toujours inconnu?!?!?
J'aimerais tenter de comprendre la façon de penser de Benoit Groulx, mais pour cela il faudrait que je lache ma job et prendre des cours de latin, "will forget about that". Imaginez-vous donc, que mercredi contre Shawi, knight-Rouleau jouait sur le power-play (pendant que nous tirions de l'arrière) et Belding était ou vous dite??? "Yeah, you guessed it....in the stands....not dressses"!!!
Vous connaissez la suite...Belding retranché...le kid n'a jamais eu sa chance...il était sporadiquement utilisé et jamais dans les bons moments!!! Ah oui, Knight-Rouleau a déjà jouer 5 matchs avec nous...il ne peut qu'en jouer un autre 5 d'ici les fêtes... Great Job of miss managing effective...but I am not surprised anymore...heck I even have a word for it "Groulx-rie"!!!
L'abitibi en folie
Deux matchs....deux défaites. Naturellement, j'était pas du voyage...mais disons que les numéros ne mente pas. Les Piques ont donné 14 buts en 2 matchs...for Benoit Groulx Hockey....that's a fail on it's own!!!
Nous revenons avec 1 pt sur une possibilité de 4...that's another fail. Nos gardiens n'ont toujours pas fait la job.....fail again.
Y a t'il du positif??? Oui...les Piques ont tenu tête aux puissant/surprenant Huskies hier. Les Huskies ont égalé la marque en fin de 3e période en désavantage numérique...."can we be more stupid"!?!?!
Je me répète et me répète et etc...etc....etc...mais c'est complétement ridicule d'envoyer des Nishi et des Brassard/Bergeron devant le filet soir après soir!!! "Get somebody else and I don't care who....but anybody else"!!!
Mot de la fin
Les Piques (4-7-1) n'impressionne personne jusqu'a maintenant et leur statistique pointe dans la même direction. Nous avons une des pires attaque, une des pire défensive, un power-play médiocre et une infériorité numérique dans le milieu du peloton....what's next....??? D'autre blessures???
Je sais très bien qu'en ce moment Groulx évalue tout ses effectifs, que nous allons avoir du renfort de l'Ontario (better be a F'N goalie), qu'il y aura d'autre coupures...mais disons ceci...nous sommes loins de danser en sortant de Guertin.
Plusieurs choix au repêchage du supposé bon repêchage de l'an passé sont des déceptions, les "moves" de Groulx ne porte pas fruit (trade down), nos vétérans font dur....coach t'a du pain sur la planche.
D'après ses paires dans la LHJMQ, Groulx semble être le meilleur...."well now is the time to prove it coach....or should I say GM"?!?!!?

I think you, like everyone, are OVER-estimating this team. Last year we stunk, it was the first year of a rebuild, this year we should be middle of the pack (and I think we will be by the end of the season), next year is the target year. Everyone keeps talking about all this talent we have!!!??? What talent? I do not see it myself. With respect to another goal against while on the power-play, I agree completely. Groulx is the WORST coach of all time at having this happen to his teams. Further, we do not shoot nearly enough on the power-play, almost as if we are afraid to hurt the puck, it is ridiculous. Finally, good riddance to Belding, we need hockey players not so-called "enforcers". But I will tell you this, I would not be surprized if he had a few fights in practice to test his enforcement skills, and lost, and therefore got cut. This is just speculation. I am glad you walked out of a game, I do it once or twice a year, though never just because we are playing badly, I do it due to violence. It was good to see you at the game the other night! Keep up with your fine comments, I miss you on the Olympiques forum. :)

Burke and Soumakis injured....really these 2 again....?!?!? Why am I not surprised, well I'll tell you why...because I actually called it in this blog!!! What's next more injuries?!?!? Apparently, I was right!!
Co-Captain....what a stupid concept, specially when your two co-captains never played for the team their co-captaining...Dubé being from Victo and Burke from injured reserved list!!!
Le Droit mentionned that Groulx was sick in Rouyn with some kind of an illness...this is just speculation but maybe someone showed him a copy of the trades he made in the last few years!!! LOL
I still say this team needs a goalie, when that happens, will see it's full potential...next year we won't be as good....I know that for a fact!!!
Burke is always hurt, and Soumakis seems injury prone as well. It is unfortunate, but guys like Burke especially should consider hanging up the skates before they end up crippled for life. Some people have frail bodies, and should not be playing hockey, and Burke unfortunately appears to be one of them.

Yes we need a top line goaltender, but even if we get one we are still a middle of the pack team, possibly into the top 8 for one playoff round with home ice, but that is it. That would be it even if we had the best goalie on the planet.
On Groulx's trades, I think you are right. What do we have for Gagnon, Pageau and Ouellette? Not much!! And what will we have from that trade next year, the year that was most important? Almost nothing.
This season so far is a failure, and I do not see the talent to make it much better. Look at the last good club that made the finals against the Dogs. Pageau, Halley, McGinn, Devos, Labrie, Deslaurier, Janosik, Gagnon, and a Clermont who finally played well. This team is not even close to that club, no comparison at all.
The attendance is sucking too. This entire franchise is in trouble if you ask me!!
